Szuhui Wu enjoys all things data. She is fascinated by the stories within deep sets. As the Senior Data Engineer at Tufts University, she develops data analytic and modeling strategies of Hadoop cluster-driven data analysis and Tableau dashboard for administration. She is also a member of the efforts to develop automated NLP tools to identify trends within the university’s community, with the focus on automation of of data engineering and data mining processes. She has consulted on a variety of data science and human performance research projects, conducting both quantitative and qualitative analyses. Previously, in over 10 years with Citibank, she climbed to Senior FP&A. Her work in their Finance and Technology Department involved complex planning, analyzing, and reporting for sophisticated financial products. She received two Quality Excellence Awards and participated in Citi Asia Pacific Cross Franchise FastTraX Program in recognition of her outstanding works within the organization.
Her proven record of coding and analytic approaches is further underwritten by the Data Science certificate from the Johns Hopkins University via Coursera. For work and for fun, she has sought out practical experiences in large-scale data programming and analysis. She has worked with diverse toolsets and programming languages, including Python, PySpark, R, SQL, Matlab, Tableau, VBA, and SPSS.
Szuhui Wu holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from National Taiwan University. She currently lives in Cambridge, MA. In addition to her professional interests Szuhui enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, chocolate tasting, and clumsily playing a ukulele with a glass of wine..
